Landscaping of 12 Houses on the Karikari Peninsula
When twelve new houses were developed as part of Carrington Estate at Karikari, we were asked to landscape the small sections around the buildings.
The growing conditions were extreme, with almost a complete lack of topsoil, a silica sand pan, no water and exposed windy conditions, not to mention the rabbits. We chose the most hardy plants suitable for the sites, while trying to provide as much flowering colour as possible which was a requirement of our clients. The mix of planting has provided this and the plants have now been in the ground over a year and are flourishing.
